I’ve been wanting this polish for SO long, and every time I went somewhere it was sold out. NOT TODAY! I actually went to a different ULTA and they had every color I could have dreamed of. Fully stocked on everything. So obv I bought way too much. But here is tonight’s mani!
So for the first picture, I used 2 coats of Mermaid’s Tears. One was a tiny bit translucent so 2 made it perfect. I decided to do a gold tip because I love the teal/gold combination. I used OPI Glitzerland on the very tip and CG’s Gold Rush for the sparkle. As always Seche Vite top coat! This was probably the fastest I’ve done my nails in a while, so simple :)
I see you purchased smooth sailing and coat azure! Smooth sailing has a slight grittiness to it. It's almost like ground up glitter, and it REALLY lasts on your nails. Good haul.
Yes! It’s smooth sailing and lapis of luxury :) Coat Azure is on my wishlist (lol it’s a long list) I’m so excited to try the smooth sailing though. I used the OPI Mermaid’s Tears tonight, probably going to use Smooth Sailing tomorrow!
I got bored of the last manicure a little quick. I was excited to try something new with water marbling but that was a huge fail so I’m going to have to postpone that to when I’m more concentrated and have time. *and not watching hbo all night with my roommates.
So obv I couldnt just leave my nails bare after my failure of a new water marbling tape experiment so this is what I decided to do.
I must say, for $2.49-2.99, you really can’t go wrong with Xtreme Wear polish. Especially with water marbling. Seriously so good for water marbling (except for glitter polishes). They definitely need 2 coats, but for more than half the price of OPI I don’t have many complaints.
At some point I am going to review them individually, but for now a general review seems good enough :)
I probably should have gone to cosmetology school. But instead I buy massive amounts of nail polish and do my (and my friends) nails for free.
I spend way too much money on polishes, and justify it by saying it’s way cheaper than going to the salon every few weeks. While that may be true, I’m not sure I can really defend having over 60 different nail polishes anymore with that argument. Oops? Sorry I’m not sorry.
I’m always looking for new things to try and different techniques of doing my nails. So why not blog about it? Clearly I have nothing better to do ;)
